President’s Message
Our ‘23-’24 Board is so excited to have a great year! We’re celebrating 30 years of John Malcom Elementary this year, and have a fun year planned.
A main focus of the fundraising this year is to fund a NEW library! Our library currently has an average book age of 20+ years old, and being an avid reader myself, I feel like it’s important to help fuel a new generation of readers. Luckily, my board agrees! We’re going all in this year on our book fairs, celebration books, and bringing in a couple other book focused events.
As with all of our events, family participation is key; we cannot do it without you! We need a community of volunteers. Please keep an eye out for the emails, sign up genius lists, and Malcom Minute updates for all of the events and programs.
Our ‘What We Do’ note within the membership page will continue to provide you information regarding where your donations go and the events we have planned throughout the year, also including programs and materials that are made possible through your donations.
As your Executive Board it is important to us to gather input and support towards the programs and needs of our scholars and staff. We encourage you to attend General Association Meetings, to provide us with your ideas, support and contributions. We are a team and need YOUR input.
We do have options for you to join the PTA or provide a direct donation to the school. PTA membership dues are $20 and direct donations vary based on your level of interest. Donate as much as you feel comfortable or become a member for as little as $20!
